LAKE NORMAN REGIONAL MEDICAL
CENTER WELCOMES PULMONOLOGIST
Mooresville – Board-certified Pulmonologist Christopher S. Poor,
MD, has joined Sever Surdulescu, MD, in practice at Lake Norman
Pulmonary & Critical Care Specialists.
Drs. Surdulescu and Poor play an important role in caring for
patients in Lake Norman Regional Medical Center’s Sleep Lab and
Critical Care Unit. In addition to diagnosing and treating
patients with respiratory illnesses such as pneumonia,
tuberculosis and emphysema, they also perform specialized minor
surgical procedures in complex pulmonary cases that include
arterial catheter placements and bronchoscopies.
Dr. Poor is currently accepting new patients at his office in
The Medical Pavilion at Lake Norman, where he utilizes pulmonary
function testing to evaluate and treat common respiratory
symptoms such as shortness of breath and coughing that may be
associated with conditions such as COPD, asbestos poisoning or
asthma.
Dr. Poor received his medical degree from the Medical College of
Georgia School of Medicine in Augusta, Ga. He completed an
internship and residency program in internal medicine at the
University of Florida in Gainesville, Fla., where he also
completed a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine.
Prior to joining the medical staff at Lake Norman Regional
Medical Center, Dr. Poor was an attending physician at Southwest
Florida Regional Medical Center, Health Park Hospital and Lee
Memorial Hospital in Fort Myers, Fla. He holds
board-certification in internal medicine, pulmonology and
critical medicine and is board eligible in sleep medicine.
